Haiti 2010 jimmy.mankind@gmail.com 1-10
if there could be a manmade earthquake
–like a manmade flood in New Orleans
–or a manmade war in Iraq
–or a manmade evacuation due to hopelessness and fear as in Detroit
–then the misery of Haiti is ours.
The coming series of events that will inform us
will be the slow and steady return of
the Haitian people back to
the poverty and subjugation
to which they’ve become accustomed.
Along with the quiet arrival, I’m sure,
of Blackwater (Xe), Brown & Root, the US Army and Halliburton,
but. no. good.
Only money.
And thusly, the new world Religion of Money. For...
Religion is politics. But you know this. And...
Politics is economics. ["It’s the economy, stupid!"]
While Economics has become Religion.
People die for their Religions, like communism or capitalism. They believe in these material organizing systems because, for 90% of us–or so–survival on this material planet precludes all thoughts of a higher consciousness.
We invoke stresses of competition and war. Our lives become frayed at heart and on the edges of what we think we have earned there is doubt.
Without time to think, Facts don’t count except to reinforce prior imaginations.
So we select facts to support a priori belief systems–that is, our NOT fact-based religions--and those in turn support our faith-based Economics...and we keep on keepin’ on with the same ol’ same ol’ traditional establishmentarian sloggings. Trapped in the races we did not choose but were trained for, we don’t evolve, because we are too grateful for our leisure time to use it for anything but pain relief or sleep. Somehow they force us to seek out the opiates of the masses so we can wear ourselves down rioting at soccer games.
Paxil flows to the sea...the fish can’t hardly swim. The sharks fill up on it. Life becomes dream.
So...we can dream, We already have: we call it imagination.
If we can imagine...a place like Heaven,
why can’t we imagine... Heaven on Earth?
If we can imagine... just being Happy...with whatever we’re worth,
why can’t we imagine... being happy... here in Heaven on Earth?
Shouldn’t we be trying to take Heaven out of our mythology and make it real?
Bring it on down, here, where we can use it?
Maybe that way: Our home, this planet Earth, will be glad to have us on board.
And show us the way to live so we can stay here: the infinite products of out own
imaginings on a finite sphere.
Omtatsat.
